Richard Samuel Elman is the Founder and the Chairman of the Company.

Mr. Elman first arrived in Asia during the mid-1960s from England and has more than 50 years of experience in the physical commodities trading industry. Prior to setting up the Group in 1986, he spent 10 years with Phibro as Regional Director of their Asia operations, including two years as a main Board Director. He is responsible for overseeing the Groups' overall strategic planning. Mr. Elman was first appointed Director of the Company on 6 April 1994 and was last re-elected at the Annual General Meeting on 30 April 2008.
